What is Store SEO and how do I use it?

SEO is an acronym for “search engine optimization.” It means the process of improving your site to increase its visibility when people search for products or services related to your business in the search engine. The better visibility your pages have in search results, the more likely you are to garner attention and attract prospective and existing customers to your business.

Store SEO will help drive traffic to your online store and helps increase sales. You have the ability to add SEO information to your store profile. After logging in to Best Before, go to Vendor Dashboard – Store Settings – Store SEO.

  • SEO Title: This will appear as the store’s title in the search engine result.
  • Meta Description: This will appear as the store’s description in the search engine result.
  • Meta Keywords: This method adds meta keywords to the HTML Meta Tag that is hidden from viewers. By doing so, search engines can determine the topic of the page.
  • Facebook Title: This will appear as the store’s title in the Facebook News Feed.
  • Facebook Description: This will appear as the store’s description in the Facebook News Feed.
  • Facebook Image: This will appear as the store’s banner in the Facebook News Feed.
  • Twitter Title: This will appear as the store’s title in the Twitter Feed.
  • Twitter Description: This will appear as the store’s description in the Twitter Feed.
  • Twitter Image: This will appear as the store’s banner in the Twitter Feed.

Each text field on the page has help data that explains what to enter in each field. Hover your mouse over the question mark symbol to see an explanation of what to enter.

When you are done, be sure to click Save Changes.
